This is high-level cuisine; one of the best Montreal has to offer! Excellent service, ambiance and food! Located on 408 rue St-François Xavier and open Tuesday to Sunday from 5:30pm to 11:00pm. Reservations are highly recommended, and can be made up to 30 days in advance. You can also reserve seats at the bar for dinner; just call the restaurant.


Featuring a classy menu with lots of local fare; plus exceptional wines, beers and cocktails. This is a great choice to try if you’re looking for a rustic yet chic dining experience. Located on 312 Rue Saint Paul West, it’s easy to find this place if you’re staying in a downtown Montreal hotel suite. Open Sunday to Wednesday from 6:00pm to 10:30pm, and Thursdays through Saturdays till 11:00. Reservations are by telephone only.

Steak frites

Another great option in the Old Port is Steak frites. Yes it is a franchise, but yes it has excellent food! With a trendy but charming atmosphere and delicious menus you’ll find dinner choices ranging from a beefy burger to tuna steaks. Located on 200, boul. Saint-Laurent. Bring your favorite wine!

Gibbys Restaurant

Housed in a 200 year old building in the heart of Old Montreal, you’ll definitely want to try this on your stay. From the original beamed ceilings, to the stone walls and warm lighting, Gibbys has romantic charm! They also feature an exquisite menu ranging from fine seafood’s to steaks and extensive wine choices. They also offer valet parking if you plan on driving. Reservations recommended. Located at 298 Place d’Youville.

Club Chasse et Peche

A Montreal tradition if you will. If you’re looking to experience true Montreal fine dining, make some reservations here. Fine French food is what you’ll find, in an intimate and old-world style atmosphere. Again, high cuisine and local produce is on the menu. Open Tuesday to Saturday, 6:00pm to 10:30pm. Located at 423 St. Claude St. in Old  Montreal.
