Festival International Nuits D'Afrique – July 18-20 2014

This is one of the most interesting and liveliest festivals in Montreal. From incredible music to energetic dance, you won’t regret taking in one or more of these shows. Keep in mind there are both indoor and outdoor shows to check out, plus Agora Afrique, Timbuktu Market, the Kids Village and all kinds of workshops! This is the last weekend for the Nuits D’Afrique this year, so find out which venue is playing, and get your tickets!

Jackalope – July 18, 19 and 20, 2014 at the Olympic Park

Jackalope is all about funky free flying sport. Check out the freestyle motocross demo (Milot Land Tour), skateboard (amateur & by invitation), fixed gear, slackline, longboard and parkour competitions. If your thing is skateboarding, BMX or motocross, you’re going to love this. There’s also some pretty stylin’ after parties, if you’re looking for some more fun after hours! Located at the Esplanade Financière Sun Life, at the Olympic Park.

Montreal Dragon Boat Challenge – July 26-27, 2014

As the second stop on the Triple Crown Circuit, the Montreal Challenge is an impressive event to take in. This year, Montreal will host teams from the United States, Ontario and the Maritime provinces. As one of the biggest dragon boat gatherings, you’ll be blown away by the speed and power of the competitors. Takes place at the Montreal Olympic Basin, Parc Jean Drapeau.

Variety 10 Comics to Watch Series – July 25th 2014

If you’re short on laughs, take time to take in this show! You’ll be sure to leave in stitches. The Variety 10 Comics to Watch is an uproarious presentation of the finest (or funniest we should say) comedians. The show is held during the last week of the Just for Laughs Festival, in the Place des Arts on July 25th; tickets are about $26.00. Don’t miss it!
