2015 Montreal Halloween Activities for Adults

October 14, 2015

Think Halloween is just for the kids? No way. Think beyond the hordes of zombie trick-or-treaters, all the cheap candies and ghastly décor. Halloween is one of the most fun and entertaining nights in Montreal. If you love costumes, music, and lots of people who love the same, you’ll get a big kick out of some of the local Halloween events taking place this October in Montreal.

Take a few minutes and book cheap accommodation Montreal before you start planning your spooky getaway; rooms fill up quickly whenever there are special events happening. Even if you’re coming in from just outside the city, looking for budget hotels Montreal will give you a safe home base that doesn’t require you to drive.

Fright Nights in Montreal 2015:

Incognito Montreal. As a significant fundraiser for the Montreal Children’s Hospital, this is a Venetian masked, semi-formal attired event. Geared to the young professional, it’s also a great place to do some subtle networking. The event takes place at 433 Saint-martin, Griffintown on October 23rd.

Fright Fest. Every weekend from October 3rd to November 1st 2015 is Fright Fest at La Ronde. At 5pm each evening, about 100 ghoulish characters are set loose on the park, freaking people out left and right. Well worth a visit.

Gardens of Light. Not particularly scary or Halloween-ish, but one of our most beautiful and seasonal events. Partnered with sister city Shanghai, the Montreal’s botanical gardens have done a spectacular job this year of illuminating the gardens.

Montreal Ghost Hunts. Creepy enough for even the unshakable, book a local Ghost Tour for a freaky night out. Don’t spend too much time thinking it over, these Old Montreal Ghost Hunts sell out  like hot cakes!

Zombie Walk. Need we say more? Starting as a small local happening, the Zombie Walk is a now a massive undertaking! Slap on your nastiest zombie makeup-job and hit the beat with thousands of other zombie brothers and sisters. Takes place on Halloween Day, at Place-des-Arts.

Rocky Horror Montreal Halloween Ball. Takes place over three scary evenings, October 29th to the 31st. Dress up and join in the screening of the original Rocky Horror movie in one of Montreal’s favorite vintage theatres. Cast members perform live on stage with insanely entertaining audience participation. If you want a uniquely Montreal Halloween experience, this is a good place to start.

Spasm. An absolutely hilarious mash of spooky events featuring mash-ups from some of the best big screen comedies and horrors. Be sure to catch Marty McFly’s Back to the Future gig this year. Take a look at their website for full details, locations and schedules.

Have fun this Halloween, because it doesn’t only need to be for kids! Find a cheap hotel in Montreal, get a funky costume and head out to some of the Halloween happenings this month. Come get a taste of Montreal’s spooky side!
