Montreal is full of choices when it comes to restos and pubs. Take your pick from the local favourites or one of the up-and-coming pubs. Many of these great places are nearby our hotels downtown Montreal. Plus, the best restos and pubs also offer terrasses for your outdoor enjoyment; and with the arrival of warmer weather the terrasses are opening up for business!

Find the Best Pubs in Montreal

So where exactly should you start looking? From our downtown Montreal hotel suites you have a lot of options. Not only are there many great restos and pubs in our area, you can very easily access the Metro system (via Berri-UQAM or Champ-de-Mars stations) to reach outlying areas of Montreal. You can even head to the south shore using the Metro system if you want to. If you’d like to try something within walking distance of your hotel suite Montreal, try one of these places:

  1. Resto Pub St. Andre. 902 Rue St. Catherine. Featuring an awesome selection of hamburgers, salads and grilled fare, this is a delicious option within walking distance of our Montreal hotel suites. They also feature numerous delicious micro-brewed beers. Check it out.
  2. Randolph Gaming Pub. 2041 Saint-Denis. Still walking distance for most, this is a fun twist on a pub. Here you can choose from over 1500 games, enjoy micro-brews, cocktails and great food. Your host/hostess will even explain how to play and get you started on a game if need be! Great atmosphere.
  3. Sainte Elisabeth European Pub. 1412 Sainte Elisabeth. Prefer something with a little European flair? Head over to the St. Elisabeth Pub for drinks and great food. Two floors of seating plus a beautiful terrasse to enjoy.
  4. Jack Saloon. 262 St. Paul Est. Right in the Old Port of Montreal, this saloon-style pub offers a rock ’n’ rolling time! With a packed itinerary of music and shows all week long, all kinds of drinks and great food this is Old Port location with a whole lot of fun.

A little further out from our hotel suites Montreal you have even more options. Ask our front desk agent to call a cab for you, or try out Montreal’s Metro system.

  1. McKibbin’s Irish Pub. 1402 Bishops St. OR 3515 Blvd. Saint-Laurent. If you love a place with some history and tradition McKibbin’s is one of Montreal’s favourites. Superb food, great beers and drinks plus their “Rim Reaper” Guinness Book of World Record’s Challenge. Make reservations ahead of time to guarantee your spot.
  2. Brasserie Harricana. 95 Jean-Talon. This place has many rave reviews and with good reason. A major selection of beer, filling and tasty food, plus a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere all make this a great choice to spend some time.
  3. Brasserie Le Sieur D'Iberville. 2490 Mont-Royal Ave. E. at d’Iberville St. As one of Montreal’s newer brasseries this place doesn’t disappoint. The old location was completely redone and now offers great prices, great food and great drinks. Try it out; it may be your new favourite.
